I'm sure there has been a post about this at some point or another but, I've searched and can't find it and don't have access to the archives.

When it comes to Multicam clothing, what is the consensus between these two vendors as to quality? Assuming, (and I think you have to) that they both use Crye Precision fabric, is one vendor favored over the other?

I'd be interested in hearing an analysis of the differences as well

I was going to buy a pare of true-specs BUT, for $15 to $27 more per shirt /pants I went with SKD pants and shirt. "Made in the USA" is worth $27 more to me.
BTW SKD is fast at shipping!

I planned on getting the propper ones myself due to a pleasant history with them.

never had a problem with Tru Spec but I'd go with Propper just because they manufacture uniforms for the Army

I have True-Spec in MARPAT digital desert.  I wear it hunting and have never had a problem.  Holds up on thorns and all that stuff.  No strings hanging from the hems.  Feels like solid gear.

I have all three brands

Between Propper and Tru-spec, they are about the same IMHO, they are both US fabric and both 'not made here', the Tru-spec do have a extra inner pocket on their TRU's, and I went with Tru-spec as my 'go-to' set.

The big ( main ) difference between them is the fabric used.
Propper uses a 65/35 poly/cotton-which to me feals like a canvas tarp

Tru-spec has a line of 60/40 poly/cotton and 50/50 nylon/cotton which is the good one ( and is way more expensive )

the 50/50 is what SKD and the real deal Crye uniforms use.

for the three other OH guys here, check this thread out:

Does the SKD rip in the crotch easily like the tru-spec and propper does?

I hope not, I havent worn mine out enough to see.  I never had an issue with BDU crotches, but ACU crotches rip out doing laundry.  I hope the SKD are better than that.

Don't put too much stock in that, Proppers commercial line is not made in the same facilities, or even the same country, as the issue gear is. All they share is the name.

I have both propper and tru-spec, pretty much the same quality wise but I like the pockets on the Tru-spec better.
