What is the difference between the RAID pack that TAG puts out and the Lightfighter one? And anyone know where can I find either one in green? Been looking for a while. Seems like only TAG has them in stock (according to their site anyway)? |

No experience with the TAG RAID. I do have 2 RAIDs from Lightfighter. One of them is an Eagle made Coyote Brown RAID. I bought it from the now closed LF store at Bragg. No issues, I drug it all over Iraq for a year, and all over the US since then. There are a couple of loose threads on the right shoulder strap. One of these days, I'll send it in to Eagle for repair. I picked up an ATS off color(1/2 price) ACU RAID earlier this year. It has replaced my issue SDS assault pack. My ACU RAID is made by someone other than Eagle, and is not of Eagle quality. Still no issues with it, and I plan on dragging it all over the other sandbox next year. My only complaints about the RAID is a need to wear a sternum strap to keep it on my shoulders while wearing armor. Also, due to the modularity, and cargo carrying space, discipline must be used to avoid over packing it. |

I have a few of the Eagle made RAIDS and they're well built and comfortable. Had a black one in my trunk as a duty/BOB bag and it's held up very well considering. I have/had a few of TAG stuffs, and I don't like the "feel" of their nylon compared to that of Eagle or ATS. Kinda hard to explain but if you ever get a chance to feel a TAG made product you'll notice it's different. Still well built though. I had a couple of the ATS Cobra packs and those were also well built. Only complaint was that the shoulder straps were too close together for me and it would rub my neck big time. I hear the ATS RAID packs have the similar design so that may or may not be an issue to you. |
