Finally got to the point that I'm tired of all the crap I have to carry around for work; I'm a computer contractor for the Air Force... I have to carry various small tools, 2 cell phones, three different IDs, a flashlight, and anything else that goes along with me during the day, which is usually a pack or two of smokes, my keys, etc.

I realize that if this works out well, I'll likely be carrying a lot more than that with me on a daily basis, especially since I've been looking at a pretty basic first aid kit I could throw in... either way, the main question I've got has to do with the color scheme.

Maxpedition recently came out with a new color, khaki-foliage which looks pretty cool on screenshots, but I don't know how true the colors are in person to the images (due to lighting, etc etc.)  I've been eyeballing this new color as the best compromise between wanting camo and not wanting a big "Hey look, I could be carrying!" sign with having the ACU-compatible pattern...  the downside side that I'm left handed and according to Maxpeditions customer service (whom I emailed directly, don't bother trying to contact them on ARF via IM or email option), the S-type khaki-foliage isn't due to ship till December.

So, question time:

1. How much does the khaki-foliage coloration of the actual item resemble the pictures?

2. If I decide to say "fuck it, I'm ordering now" and decide on getting the ACU-compatible, anyone have any clue how that stuff looks next to multicam.

Not really a question you guys could help me with, but I'm tempted to just say fuck it, ditch the camo assuming it's ugly with multicam,  and getting the flat tan or a black one...  input?

I recently traveled via air to the east coast, and never got the impression my tan fatboy type S was drawing undue attention.  It did a fine job holding my cell phone, digital camera, binoculars, sunglasses, rx glasses, granola bars, book, note paper and pen, flashlight and spare batteries, ear plugs, etc.

My dad was turning 80, and he never made mention of my "shoulder bag", which I find a good indicator of it's benign appearance.  A solid color like tan, and especially NOT od green or a camo print, blends in well amongst the sheeple.

The tan, under most lighting is very close to Coyote.
