Milspecmonkey is a gear designer and reviewer who has for two years now posted SHOT Show videos and he has really gone all out for 2008. At his youtube.com page you can view a significant amount of videos showing mostly gear, but also some new weapon systems as well. Of particular interest to me was the Blackhawk ITS Combat Uniform that was in Multicam and is similiar to the Crye Combat shirt and pants with wicking material and build in elbow and knee pads. This is in my opinion the most amazing combat clothing I've seen to date and I thought I'd post here to share it with you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8p2Yo4IY38 Does anyone know when this clothing will be made available for purchase? |
He says in the video fall of '08.

While all neat features one thing that deters me is the cost factor. With all the special materials, treatments, and gadgets what will each set of uniforms cost? Now if you only needed one uniform then then it would make more sense. Would love to see them come out with a Stillsuit design. |
| I think they realized that if they want to stay competetive they had to do something in Multicam. Up until now they are only using blackhawk fabrics. I'll be curious to see how they licensed the crye pattern. The pattern on their materiels, or, crye materiel sewn into their designs. Either way crye is getting a cut, just wonder why it took so damn long. |

Long overdue. It is amazing stuff with all those features I think it's the bridge-gap combat uniform until they can get that memory fabric stuff to work that will read and trasmit your body vitals and automatically stop blood loss. Probably will be expensive. The ACU ITS jacket and pants together would cost over $300.00 right now. My guess is that the uniform they showed in the video would be pushing the $400.00 mark. |
