Subject says it all: does anyone make a cover for the M1 helmet in multicam?  I have always had an old (but repaired over the years, so not so valuable) Vietnam issued airborne helmet with the Mitchell cover, but would like to have a multicam cover for it.  I doubt there is a market for it and I haven't found any.  If I can't find any, I'll just buy some material and copy the Mitchell sewing pattern.

funny thing is I was kinda looking also, as I also have an 'old school' helmet for a bug-in ( I think something is at least better than nothing )

could something like this be made to work, at least with less effort then making a new one

Hate to break it to ya, but a steel pot will not even stop a .22

In fact, they are only good for keeping your head from getting bumped.

Well aware.  I keep it sitting around for hurricanes since most fatalities are due to head trauma.  I may look stupid, but I stand a better chance of surviving getting hit by debris with my steel pot than the guy wearing the rain hood.  I was looking into the Tru-Spec Multicam poncho and want to match.
