Hey Gang,
I'm starting to get geared up for
some 3 gun/carbine shoots. I am
looking at a BlackHawk Modular Low
Profile Chest Rig.

With the molle add ons, do they
attach firmly enough so that they
don't bounce alot when you run, etc?

I hate having my gear beat me up
when I run.

Thanks for any input!

Yes if they are weaved correctly, you will have no problems

just a quick question, why the blackhawk ? Tactical Tailor and SKD, have really nice chest rigs, that are also usa made.

If MOLLE is getting every swinging dick in combat through their tours, I'm sure it will be fine for you r3-gun matches...

868,
 I stand corrected, I'm looking
at the TT MAV Vest Body 2 Piece.
I like it's increased versatility (opening
front, yoke, & Camel Back, etc.) I think
I will order the bare rig first & add
additional pouches as I go along.

clasky,
 Well put & well taken.

Thanks!

Go with the TacticalTailor 2 piece.Add a few Shingles and a Triple Pistol mag pouch and you are set. That is what I have for 3 gun.

In my continued quest, I think
I want a rig that has some internal
ar mag pouches. I guess the MAV
1 & 2 piece don't have that capability,
so I may be leaning back toward the
BHI Modular Lo Pro, or the Eagle, but
I think a split front is important to
me...

So many choices, so little cash...

Thanks for your input!

Another question...

Does the BlackHawk® S.T.R.I.K.E.™
Enhanced Commando Recon Harness
have Camel Back capability?

Thanks again!

well don't totally 'write off' the one piece. this is my one piece MAV

now this is my 'end of the world' rig, so it loaded a bit more then most, but it's not really hard to get into or out of, but of course YMMV.

for a rig that has internal mag pouches, DSG Arms now has the Blackwater I-O low profile rig, but it's only 'one piece'

well I'm looking at the 2007 catalog, and it does not say or show a pic of the back.

did you want PAL's on the back to place a pouch on it ? you could just use a 'regular' camelbak with shoulder straps.

Edited because I can't read.
I will look at this one...

Thanks!

If their "enhanced" STRIKE Recon chest harness is like their "old" one, no, it won't have a pouch or pocket to put a Camelbak.

The BHI rig is not set up for Camelbak without getting the back adapter.  I don't remember what BHI calls it.
The TacTailor stuff is GTG.  I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "internal" mag carrying unless you mean the slip pockets on some of the rigs.  You might want to check into the mini/half MAV models.  You could also use the MAV with single shingles on the panel and your additional pouches on top of those.  That might be a way to get where I think you're going.
The MAV is a great platform, and it is incredible how much crap you can haul with one, or how little (it is completely modular and user-driven).  Especially with the mini/half MAV.  They make great active shooter grab bags or a low-pro go bag.

I think I'm ready to order a BlackHawk®
S.T.R.I.K.E.™ Enhanced Commando Recon
Harness. I'm going to look into buying
a small hydration pack to wear with the
vest.

My last question is, will this rig fit me?

I'm 6'-2" at 275 lbs.

Thanks for all of the input!
