Anyone here have experiences with the GS05M (Gunslinger Pack)?

http://www.eberlestock.com/Gunslinger%20M%20Series.htm

I have a few of their products, and would like to purchase a new pack.  It's the size I am looking for, and looks to be high quality.

Any info would be helpful.

I have it and think its pretty cool.  On the downside its a little small if you dont take advantage of the MOLLE and put pockets on it also if you are carrying 60 lbs+ its a little tough.  I find a pack with a sturdy frame is more comfy with large loads

Thanks!

How would you rate the gun scabard in the pack?

And, Where are you in VT?  I'm in Colchester.

i had to get the long shoulder straps.  i use it for climbing/rappelling mostly.  the scabbard is awesome.  a carbine with short buttstock disappears, and it will hold a 24" barrelled rifle w/scope.  its more of a daypack than a fullsize pack, so use it as such.  i would try to avoid strapping pouches on the outside, best to keep everything tight and compact.

the scabbord is nice.  works awesome with my mossberg 500 because it is so smooth.  not so well with an AK.  has a cover that clips on for long guns which is cool.  you could also strap a gun to the side i have found out.  I'm from Hartland. Sometimes I stay with my GF in Burlington though.

Thanks Guys!

I think Im going to get one after hearing some good reviews.

And I do plan to stay away from pouches on the outside.  It usually add noise to the pack, and can throw off the center of balance.

Thanks!

PS-If you every come up to Burlington and want to shoot, PM me.
