| Any ideas were to get clothing and other equitment at a REASONABLE price??? |
|
The most affordable right now would be the Propper followed closely by the Tru-Spec. Right now Tru-Spec is being sold over at the Equipment Exchange on this forum for: A. $49.00 each for top or bottom ACU cut. B. $39.00 each for top or bottom BDU cut. The best place I know of for Propper is through Vermont's Barre Army/Navy store or BDU.com (thanks exocet). 1. $39.00 each for top or bottom ACU cut. 2. $29.99 each for top or bottom BDU cut. I think the ACU cut is the only way to go really, but as you can see you can save by going with the BUD if you're on a real tight budget. I mean really at those prices the only thing cheaper would be to find some used woodland BDU's at some local PX store. As far as kit it really is item specific on what you want. |
Nice pack! Who made that one? Which pouches do you have on it? |
The Pack is a Eagle AIII MOLLE Side pouches on each side at the bottom are from TAC Gear, they are multicam padded LRF (Laser Range Finder) one holds my Leica LRF & the other side my Steiner Binocs. LRF Case Top on each side are Tactical Tailor Zippered Utility Pouches Tactical Tailor Accessory Pouches Front is the Emdom Wide Load - 3" Multi-Purpose Pack Wide Load - 3" Multi-Purpose Pack |
Clearly you can see that Multicam sucks and stands out like a sore thumb...please send me all your MC gear I will pay .03% on the dollar |
Good, more ar15.com members will be able to transition to multicam then. |
You can order the material from Crye.... My wife said if I get a deer this November (first time deer hunting) we can make Multicam Sheets and bed spreads and mount the deer in the bedroom...I hope I get one |
|
yes, but 2 things...she is already married and if she wasn't she is ULTRA Liberal...thinks guns are for nut cases.... Which since I am bragging on my wife, we went to get some blaze orange clothing for hunting....she looked at a S&W 642 with Crimson laser....she said lets get it...now mind you this is my wife that in the past three months has bought a XD 9mm & a ruger Gp100 .357....I love this woman!! And she is well armed....she wants to shoot the AR next so she can get her own.... |

you know BB, we have been looking for a new rug to go under the dinning room table...man you give me idea's.... |
there are desert pics on the multicampattern.com site. also rent or buy the Transformers DVD as the SF guys are all done up in Crye gear running around the desert ( and fighting giant robots |
+1 on the Transformers DVD you'll be able to see just how well multicam breaks up a person's outline. |
Actually there is a color shift from one end of a fabric repeat to another. One end being slightly greener and the other being slightly browner. It's intentional. I read about it on Crye's web site. |
Yup, that is why Crye Multicam Knock-Offs never look right. |
you got a link for where that info's at, I couldn't find it. anyway's here's a side by side with Tru-spec/Propper/SKD: ![]() here's my new Propper shirt at sunset ![]() |
