| Hi guys. I have a medium Alice Pack I keep in he back of my truck for a Get home Bag. I recently found a frame on ebay pretty cheap. How do I put the pack on the frame? Also for those of you who have used this setup, am I better off with or without the frame? Thanks in advance for your help. |

with the frame is better, and maybe some better shoulder straps while your at it. the pack goes over the frame and slides on to the top ( remove your shoulder straps first ) the straps on the bottem of the pack go around the 'tube' part. and the bottem of the shoulder straps tie around th 'hole' in the frame then the top goes through the loops at the top of frame. it's easer then it sounds. |

Here are a couple links that I found helpful. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Individual_Integrated_Fighting_System www.prc68.com/I/ALICE.shtml#Man A bunch of good info on that second one. Hope that helps. Gene ps I use my medium alice daily to and from work with out the frame. I only add the frame if I'm going on an extended hike and carrying some weight. |

www.georgia-outfitters.com/_alice/alicemanual.htm Ignore Large/medium, it attaches to the frame in almost the same way. As designed the medium is only used with the frame during the winter. Thats why there are not really directions for the medium pack fitting to the frame, and thus you need to use the large instructions, which require the frame for operation. The only difference you will encounter between the instructions and your medium pack are that the medium pack has an attachment point for staps where the large does not. I put the straps thru both the pack attachment points, and around the pack frame. I don't know if it matters much, if you were to choose one or the two I would go with straps on the frame. |
