I have a P3D P-100 & a L2D P-100.

The P3D model is superior.  Brighter, and more compact.  The lightheads for each model are the same diameter, so the L2D doesn't really offer any size advantage.

I've relegated the L2D to a glove compartment light status.  I keep Energizer Lithium AA's in it.

I just received my P3D RB100 (it the Rebel edition) the other day. This little light rocks. I have two P1Ds Cree editions and they are bright for the size but I wanted the clicky tail cap as it is easier to adjust the amount of light. The 200 lumen rating for the P3D may be correct but the reflector is small. It definitely is bright and won't disappoint you. For it's size it is about the most efficient light available. I couldn't have made a better decision.

I've got the previous L2D model in Cree.
There's even a newer Rebel model without all the different modes.
Two modes, depending on the bezel, medium and high.

For the record...
I picked up a Surefire  9P® tonight and took it outside after dark and compared the distance (throw) abilities of my Fenix P3D Premium 100.

In the dry chilly NC night air, the P3D whipped the 9P's tailcap.  And it has about double the run time, and uses 1/3 less batteries that the 9P does.

Also, we responded to a wreck yesterday while I was on duty.  After the injured were cared for, I ended up having to direct rush hour traffic around the disabled vehicles.  I used the strobe function of the P3D to get driver's attention, in the bright afternoon sun.  Nobody missed it.

Q5 vs P100
Q5 on LEFT
P100 on RIGHT

The Q5 is noticeably brighter, but that's only a result of more side spill.  The throw abilities are equal in my opinion.

I attribute this to the larger size of the Q5, making it more difficult to properly focus.

Oh, BTW, BOG has Q5 drop-in's for Surefire's up on the web for pre-order.
Plus Malkoff Devices sent an e-mail yesterday offering some Surefire P60 drop-in's.

my fenix l2d rebel 100 finally came in today.(edit - notice post above on 10/11 when i was expecting it) it blows my terralux modded minimag away. no comparsion. damn i love this little light. cant wait to take it outside tonight!

i was expecting it to be slightly longer then my minimag, but its actually slightly shorter and thinner! talk about a winner! i dont think you will ever find a better 2xAA flashlight.

threw some alki's in the minimag and stuck it in the car as a backup light - the fenix is my new EDC.
