Well, I have a 3 mag shingle that is being troublesome. The molle straps are too low for when its full so its top heavy and it leans forward. Whats the best way to get it to fit more snuggly and not try and rip itself off of my vest?

sounds tricky. Maybe try some zip-ties?

Buy qualtiy goods instead of trying to go cheap and jury-rig?

Seriously, I don't mean that as a dig but if this pouch is meant for serious potential life-saving use, should you really be jury-rigging it to make it work? I guess if it is just for fun (and I am guilty of making those kind of purchases too, I am the King of Cheap) then maybe a jury-rig is acceptable.

[ETA]  Is this one of the CTD shingles?

Yea, what brand is it?  That way everyone knows to stear clear of that brand!  I'm getting a tru-spec ranger rack and tru-spec pouches for some light force on force work, so it's good to know what brands aren't good to go.

Yup, its CTD.

Usually I do buy quality items but, as a poor college student price played a major roll in my purchases. Also I was able to get my whole vest and pouches for under $120 and the 3 mag shingle is the only thing Ive had a problem with. The other pouches are holding up fine, a few of them I would say they are almost on par with the TT gear I have.

Anyway, Its a just for fun and "Civilian Preparedness" , its not going to the sandbox anytime soon.

Trust me, I understand.  I guess make due until you can afford something better and the 550 or zip tie is the best solution at the moment.  So if I understand these are the single mag bungee pouches (three connected ones) and the Molle straps are mounted to low on the back of the pouch and it tries to pull away at the top when you have a loaded mag in it?  Do you have the same exprience with teh sinle shingle (if you have one)?  I was wondering if it might be realated to having the triple opuch wrapped around your torso, and the bend causes it to 'warp' outwards?

If you buy the stuff made by Mil Spec + from CTD you will not be dissapointed. I stay away from other brands though.

The Mil SPec + stuff is made the same as GI, same material and stitching just sewn together in Sri Lanka or someplace, like the Propper BDUs

I have a three mag shingle from them. It has 4 MOLLE straps does yours?

i had the same problem. Also with mine, the edges were a bit floppy. I tied em down with 550 cord. no problems since.

Yeah, it is the one with 4 molle straps right next to each other.

The mag shingle does not wrap around my body very well. It just tries to pull the mags down.

I would check for this.  Make sure the straps are weaved correctly onto your vest/rig.

Woudl one of you guys mind posting pics of the front and back of the pouch?  Just curious to see the back mainly to compare it to the Tactical Tailor pouches...
