In the last few days, I ordered a Pigmy Falcon II, because of that clearance.

I am considering the Vulture as a large pack, I think its the Vulture anyhow, Maxpeditions largest pack, whatever that is.

Im a civie, so I dont need the absoulte best, but I would like a durable pack, and the MAxpeditions look like a great deal.

I have the Vulture II and a Condor II along with a number of other Versi Packs and small accessory belt packs....Great stuff at a great price even if it is Pac Rim and made in Tiawan.

Material in a good grade 1000 Denier Nylon, seam are double stitched, reinforced, carry handle is made to be part of the pack rather than an after thought. I think a wellthought out line with the additional PAL's webbing, Y Strap down the back for rope, poncho or what ever.

I added 2 USGI Canteens to the lower side of the Condor II using the Malice Clips. I also have a Versipack that can be added to the back of either pack for extra space or convert the a waist pack for a short trip.

I have a larger M5 as a dedicated 1st Aid Kit with the better part of a Tramua Bag Repack kit in. Another small waist pack with FRS Radio, Surefire, compass and other misc gear that can be slid on hte waist belts of the packs.

I also bought a couple Devil Dog Versipacks when LA Police Gear was having a close out sale that is a great piece of gear. It will carry 2 USGI Canteens, can be used like a Haversack with a waist belt to keep it in place. Or it can be worn like a reserve parashute using the shoulder strap and the waist pack giving you an extra 900 CI plus 1 quart of water.

I've got the Vulturre 2 (3 day pack) and although I haven't run it through the torture test yet, I'm confident it will hold up.  It's very well constructed and very rugged.  I've loaded it to capacity and put it on and it's quite comfortable.  You can make a tremendous BOB out of this.  I got mine in black b/c it just seemed most likely to blend in.  Throw a "PEACE" bumper sticker on it and nobody would ever suspect anything.
