I just picked up a used military tent of some kind, and don't know anything about it. It looks very similar to the eureka combat tent, and thats what I originally thought it was. There are no tags to identify the tent so i'm stuck trying to figure everything out on my own. The tent itself is tan and has a large door with mesh, and a smaller rear door with mesh. The entire thing is made of a light ripstop nylon. It also has a nylon gear net hanging from the top inside of the tent. It looks almost identical to the eureka, but still not sure. Here's the really confusing part to me. The rain fly is made of a heavier ripstop nylon, but appears to have some sort of chimney type opening on one side of it (like a long tube with a mesh opening at the end). It only has one opening on the front that is a large slit with a zipper. It also has a vent on the top that closes with a zipper. The fly is OD on one side, but a solid black rubber coated material on the other side. The fly doesnt look like any of the pictures on the eureka website because their fly seems to have a larger "door" on the front that opens up like an upside down U. Everything has zippers that says "talon" on them. The poles say easton, and there are 2 long poles and one shorter pole. All of the stakes are aluminum. What confuses me the most is the eureka version says it has an OD green and reversible tan rain fly which my tent does not have. I don't have a way to post pictures, but if anyone has any idea what im talking about let me know what ive got here so I can possibly get a manual from the manufacturer. |
