| What's the general concensus on gear made by them? |

I have three Arktis items (1) their kommando parka, (2) their norloose chest rig, and (3) th stowaway shirt. The parka is nicely water resistant, although I havent worn it in a downpoor yet. It has a lot of room for adding midlayers and a TON of storage space... in fact I havent found enough stuff to put in all of the pockets. The norloose rig seems to of quality... although this item hasnt been used much. The stitching is questionable since the majority of it is single stitched. But you can adjust it to be a chest rig or to be a LBV. It's very comfortable with a lot of room and enough area to add pouches. The stowaway shirt is a nice little addition. It comes with its own stuff sack (about the size of a 20 oz pop bottle, but not as tall). It's breathable and adds warmth while keeping the water off of you. I would love to see more Arktis in the United States. Its a bitch to have to buy it from overseas and pay the large shipping costs and even the customs duty involved. DK |
