I just noticed a difference in some pictures of this pack. The attachment points for the outside "pocket" are different. The attachment buckles look a little different as well. Anyone know which is the Gen I and which is the Gen II... or which one they are currently producing as I assume it's not both. I looked on their page and they have the first picture... but I'm not sure that means much.

Mine is almost 3 years old and looks like the one on the left. It's a been a decent pack, and you can load a ton of stuff in/on/around it. ADDED: I looked at the pics again, and IIRC the coyote color was not available until the pack had been out for a while. So that leads me to think that it's the newer version. Also, that type of strap set-up would be easier and cheaper to manufacture. |

It looks just about the same, only the latter picture, they didnt' quite cinch the detachable bag all the way. They also seemed to have rolled up the extra webbing a little higher/lower on both pictures. AFAIK, wasnt' there only 1 Gen, for the Talon? Unless I"m wrong....but never did see that were were any other variations, besides colors. But it looks, just like the photographer, didnt' make them both appear the same. They look identical, to me. |
