I was at Blade West 2006 in Portland Oregon, and I met the guys over at Blade-Tech and was shown a new style MOLLE clip. (They were very kind to give me a pre-production sample)

without further ado. (here are the pictures!)

VERY TIGHT, VERY SECURE.

Not sure of price, not sure of availablity.

(I know that they are testing different materials, so I'm not sure the blends used to make this one)

anyway, blade-tech gets my vote, and my brand loyalty in the holster dept.

Interesting.  I'd have to see one in use though.  I'm sure it's secure, but I don't know if it would keep the pouches from bouncing around since it doesn't seem like it would hold the pouch against the vest as tightly as the standard plastic reinforced nylon or the plastic Malice clips that are weaved through.

A neat idea but it doesn't look like it would weave through the pouches.  Also, teh clip looks like the tek-lok they use to attach holsters to belts and those don't have a good reputation for durability.

I'm sure it's a quality piece. But it also looks like the answer to a question no one asked. I like the security of being able to weave a MALICE clip through my stuff.

The only question it seems to answer is "how do we make our own MALICE clip without getting sued for patent infringement."

it was weaved through just like the tactical tailor clips, and it was designed to hold kydex holsters and other hard items that can be screwed to it.

That is what the countersunk holes in the clips are for?  Actually, that is a pretty cool idea...

Looks good, but I'll stick to Malice clips.  The Malice clips are perfect for hanging weird stuff all over my IBA/etc.

ETA--I'm not sure I like the idea of a hinge(possible weak spot).

Looks like it to me.

Looks pretty neat!  I've been thinking of using one or two Kydex AR mag pouches on my vest...

Ah, if it's designed to screw onto Kydex holsters then it's agreat idea.  A good way to convert them to MOLLE.
