looks nice, is this the only one you have looked at?  who makes it?  I researched about 12 packs, narrowed it down to 2, the asked people on this board.  I would look at more choices.

Ah

A clear clone of an EAGLE AIII - Molle pack.

likely made overseas and likely not up to build quality of an original AIII

but then again, it is fair amount cheaper than the Eagle

I recently threw a few inexpensive triple pistol mag carriers on an order I made from them just to use for storage in a bag I have. The Manufacturer wasn't listed, but I didn't care, they were cheap and their duty would be very light (organizational, not load bearing) so I wasn't concerned.

Anyway, they turned out to be Tru-Spec, and I'm betting that bag is also. May work for storing stuff behind your truck seat, but I wouldn't trust it for anything more than a daypack.

I've looked at all of the 3-day packs in the above sticky. They all look great. However, right now, I just can't  justify $200 on a new pack, especially with a new baby. I'm not going to be humping through the desert any time soon. I just need something that will last a reasonable amount of time for everyday carry (read:MURSE), travel, range trips, hiking, hunting and general B.O.B.

I have a $50 Eastpak that has lasted for 6 years with no problems, so I know you don't need to spend a mint to get a good bag. I was also looking at the CTD molle pack, but thought the cav bag would be a little better due to use of 1000 cordura instead of 600.

New packs aren't $200, at least not the Eagle packs.  You can get a REAL Eagle AIII for about $100- look for the ad from "Outdoor Brothers" in the Milspec Gear area of the Equipment Exchange. They also have the Eagle AIII Molle for around $135.

Then what is stopping you from continuing to use this Eastpak?

eggrolly:

I need something that I can attatch other pouches and a sleeping bag to. Plus I need something for hunting that isn't black (preferably OD or camo) Since I sometimes use MARPAT knock off BDU's for hunting, the cav bag peaked my interest. "Military " packs seem like they would be a little tougher in case I needed it for BOB puposes. The main reason is, that I would like a pack that takes a hydration bladder.
