Are there any other options out there other than blackhawk? I haven't seen many others.

I've been looking at this one.

What is your intended use for the shell poutch?

To hold shotgun shells   Only kidding.

Nothing like 3 gun or anything along those lines. Mostly for just having on my belt while I'm walking my farm and not carrying the AR. I'm not really a gear whore per se, but I try not to buy junk either.

Although I have just converted my Mossy 9200 sporter to a 18.5" "Jungle Gun" and have been wanting to do 3 gun sometime in the future. I however would not use a pouch type set up to participate in 3 gun.

If your just going to use it for walking around and later for a 3 gun I would sugest this  linkor one of the pouches that folks like to use during skeet.

If you got with a skeet type poutch I found the all leather ones hold up better.

I have both and if I'm just walking aound during hunting sean and such I like the leather one.  It hangs off the shoulder to the opposit hip.

its the BPG modifed clone of the Paraclete shotshell pouch

I would recommend using something geared to your level of proficiency and also consider outward appearance concerns.  No reason to inflame the masses by imparting anymore of a militaristic appearance than necessary.

Basically, just looking for a simple pouch shell holder. Nothing fancy, I don't really need to tote a box of shells on my hip. If I wanted to do that I could just dump a box or two in my  dump bag. But since it will stay on my gear belt, it does need to be able to hold up.

I just bought a side saddle and already have a butstock shell holder. I want to carry a few more on my belt. I like the style that I linked to. I had often thought of buying the one from Brigade Quartermaster IIRC they called it the HAWGS pouch or something like that, on a ALICE mount system.

Think I'll run down to the Army/Navy and see what they have.

While technically not a pouch...
