So I'm thinking of getting into some electronic ear-pro and (like everyone else) am hesitating at spending $200-$250 for Sordins and I'm leaning towards the $65-$75 Peltor 6S'.  I know the Sordin's are better from the reviews I've read but since I'm not using the muffs on a daily basis I'm hoping the peltors would fit the bill.

So the other questions are:
1) WTH is up with Radians - are they any good or just a crappy Peltor knock-off
2) Do the Peltor "behind the ear" muffs work?  They seem really awkward.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

FYI,

My last shippment of Peltor TAC-6 muffs (the $70ish ones) had a failure/return rate of almost 50%.  I told my rep that I was not going to stock them until I heard something positive about the QC for the product.

Still waiting..........

Zero complaints on the Sordin/MSA muffs.

How come there is no mention of the Walker's Range Ear Power Muffs? I love mine.

I have two sets of these and they have been great for all kinds of shooting and have good battery life.

I've used the Peltor 6 for years. They're OK. But they are no way near as good as my new Sordins that I purchased from Triad. Yes, they are a lot more expensive, but the quality is outstanding.

Is there a set out there that you can plug an MP3 player into?  I think I saw one of these out there (in a different thread I mean).  I get bored shooting by myself and wanted to know if they're worth it, if you can modify a set of Peltor Tac 6 muffs that'd be useful too.

As usual, an information is appreciated.

^^ If you saw the same one I did...  He had an FM-thingy on his IPod and FM receiver muffs.

I have some 30$ cheapies I got from Gander Mtn.  They're pretty good.  I've used them for ~30h without the two batteries dying.  They work very well for the price.  Every so often I get a little electronic noise but it goes away.

I'm no tactical shooter, but I do enjoy hearing after I get back from the range.  Only problem is after 2+ hours straight they start to hurt my ears.  I was always against things that require batteries, but after I used them, I love them.  I let four of my friends borrow them and they're sold on electonic muffs now.
