I received an order today from SKD, one of the items is the UDHP. HSGI's website is about as functional as S.O. Tech's and I can't find much info about this holster. I know it replaces other suspension systems but part of the item description on HSGI's website states:

"Using HSGI unique design to secure your favorite Kydex holster regardless of Maker, Model or style."

For one thing, no instructions were included as to how to go about mounting a holster in the UDHP so if anyone has that info, please post it (thanks). It's currently a moot point anyway as I haven't decided on a holster yet. I was going to wait for safariland to release a 6004 for a kimber warrior w/X200. OTOH, from the desricption above, I was wondering if a belt holster can be adapted? I have a sidearmor straight drop but would not hesitate to purchase another make/model. Without the instructions I'm curious if you can adapt conventional belt holsters as well as 6004's and SOC's?

Thanks.

P.S. SKD Tactical is an outstanding vendor.

Howdy Tony,

The website is sparse on information because no one has written any up yet!  For now, go to the HSGI forum.  There is a post in general from Gene that describes the process.  Basically all you are doing is positioning your holster and marking the fastener points.  Then punch out the holes and fasten the holster.

I know that Gene has been quite busy but there are many things to be put on the website still.  I believe there will be a series of video clips posted that will show the actual installation of holsters into the UDHP.

Again, always check out his forum for the scoop on, or help with, HSGI gear.  You'll find lots of folks there that can answer questions about all of the gear and Gene will more often than not chime in himself.

In the meantime, there is a ton of information going onto the site and the pages are even ready.  Now all someone has to do is write it all up and submit it for upload.  Any takers lol?

ETA +1 on SKD. You just can't go wrong dealing with Joe.

Tony -

I just got mine. The instructions were with the receipt from SKD taped on the shipping envelope.

I can make a copy of mine and send it your way if need be.

Joe at SKD rocks!

FYI,

Gene has written up instructions on mounting Kydex (6004 as the example) holsters to the HSG/UDHP and they are on his site.  You can also download it as a Word document if you prefer.  All current instructions, as well as future instruction sets, are found via link on the miscellaneous page.  You can get to the miscellaneous page from anywhere on the site by clicking the "misc" link at the top right of the page.
