I need some gloves for cold weather shooting.  Not 'winter' cold, but spring weather cold.  I don't want to pay more than $40 for them.  Any suggestions?  I'm thinking of something along the lines/style of nomex flight gloves.

cheaply, the black mechanics gloves from menards are $9.00 I think and work good not too tactical but good finger dextarity for trigger control.

Since your from WI, I am not sure how cold 'spring weather cold' might be... but if you are looking for something warmer than Nomex Flight gloves, you might check out the OR Gripper gloves or the Omni gloves...

Gripper
Omni

I have several OR Products and they are pretty well made. I remember pictures a while back of either SOF or Contractor in Afghistan wearing a pair of the Grippers..

I have a pair of Hatch gloves and I don't like them one bit.
They are Neoprene on the top and some kind of leather on the other side.
When I get them wet, they soak thru and won't dry out, but the tops don't because of the neoprene.
They work well down to about 15-20 deg. F, but below that they are very cold.
I bought them after trying them out at a gun show. The guy that was selling them really talked them up well. I was really skeptical but he finally talked me into them. Said that if I didn't like them, he would take them back. I haven't seen him since. Worst $25 I ever spent.

Thanks guys.  I'm not really interested in neoprene or gloves with rubber grips things on them.  I'm sure by the time I find a pair I like it will be too warm to use them. lol.

I happened to be in wally world, getting socks in the Mens dept., & noticed they had gloves in the same dept. I couldn't resist the urge to buy a pr of Sugs in black. They did have an array of other colors OD/Tan, OD, Black/Tan. The cost is about $15. Will get a chance to try them out today to see if it was a smart or stupid test purchase.

Manzella makes a lot of different gloves and glove liners form plenty of different materials that may suit you. Check them out. I think they have a gov't contract now for the liners in the D3 gloves for the military.

Try Gander Mt.  They have some nice dexterious gloves, Hotshot, or somethiung like that.  They have the gander logo on the cinch flap.  They give excellent dexterity, plus keep my hands comfortable to about 40 deg's.

I'll check them out..but everything I have bought with the Gander Mtn logo on it has had defects (fishing rods and a tent).  Can they screw up a pair of gloves?

Gloves worked well. The overall fit was tight & the were L. My hands aren't that big. They left plenty of feeling in fingers, as well as an excellent grip. Stitching could have been better tho. I had others asking about where & cost.

I used a pair of Hatch Street Guard gloves all winter, and was happy with their performance.  www.hatch-corp.com/lawpages/sgk100.html  They aren't actually winter gloves, but they kept my hands warm enough, and weren't so bulky that I couldn't draw/use my sidearm.

Since the weather has warmed up here, I switched over to a pair of Damascus Intercepter gloves.  www.damascusgear.com/section/products/all_duty/interceptor.html  They're a little thinner than the Hatch's, so I can't say how they'd do in colder weather, but they do allow for excellent dexterity.
