It's not bad....it's not great, but it's functional.....the only plus is it's MOLLE compatible....but then I am not a big BHI load bearing guy....I offer and use their pouches (STRIKE) and odds and ends but that's the extent....I brought a couple in and my first reaction was "this is it?" it felt .....cheap.
but again I am not the biggest BHI guy so ..IMHO;)

The Ranger R.A.C.K. is made by Specialty Defense Corporation in Pennsylvania; and 2500 of them were issued to the United States Army 75th Infantry Ranger Regiment. Blackhawk makes a licensed version of this rig but they are not the primary manufacturer. The R.A.C.K by Specialty is a good piece of kit; it is not the highest quality of bomb-proof construction but it is made nicely. It has copious amounts of PALS webbing and is simple to use and wear. I say it is a worthwhile piece of kit.

I would like to configure mine  for 4 double 30 round mag pouches and four pistol mag pouches. What do you recommend?

i'm not brad, but i personally like the BH STRIKE double M4 mag pouches (get two for a total of 8 mags) and the paraclete quad 9mm mag pouch (which you can put on the bib).  the STRIKE M4 mag pouches have adjustable lids (useful if you use magpul) and elastic retention.  the paraclete pistol pouch accomodates a variety of pistol mags or surefire light and also have elastic retention.
cheers,
MM

Do you have a picture of what this setup should look like?

not a prob, dinger. another alternative is the paraclete RACK, which brad also carries.  i just did a writeup on one this past weekend:

The Paraclet system is better gear. The Specialty Defense set-up is a better value per dollar.

Dude, did my reply offend you? I can't see anything in it that should have? Factual and cordial posts on internet discussion forums do not normally elicit such extrordinary responses.

If it helps at all, I use the RACK from SDS as my primary rig.

In fact, I chose it over TT's MAV because I liked the construction better and I felt it "wore me" better than the MAV.

I'll post pics when Hunt101 gets back up.

I use a variety of pouches from different manufacturers on my system

TT, BHI, and SDS have all made it on that rig, and I have no complaints on any of it...

Anyways, I would highly recommend the RACK to anyone out there. Best piece I have bought in a while.
