Does anyone here have any experience with the Benelli 828U? I looked at one today and it felt like a great over-under.
Anyone have any good or bad things to say about it? My overall first impression is to buy buy buy. Looking for a skeet/field gun. Thanks. |

I've shot and handled one for a day. Looked to be very good quality on par with a Browning Citori or Beretta 686. If it fits you, and you like its shape and styling, I'd think it will be good to go.
I don't know anyone personally shooting one, nor has it been on the market long enough to know if it will hold up to 100,000 rounds, but given Benelli's reputation in quality I would expect it to have a long shooting life. |

I have only handled and shot a single example.
It is very, very lightweight. Like 28 gauge weight, but a 12 gauge. More suitable in my opinion to a long grouse or pheasant hunt than any type of volume shooting. I shot once ounce loads in it, and it packs a fairly decent slap. I would not consider it for any type of serious clays shooting. |

Good call on that Beretta. I know many many here swear by Benelli but man o man Benelli's are priced high. At least the new SBE got rid of the Benelli click. |
