Post about the new Remington V3 here.

I recently got a 26" synthetic Remington V3 field. I'm hoping to use this shotgun as a "do-all" spring clays, hunting, and 3gun shotgun.

A mag extension for an 870 does work:

But, there are no detents to hold it tight:

Glad you like it. I worked with the Remington R&D Dept some time ago and did a lot of work with the V3 to get it ready for production. My experience with the prototypes for the field testing were pretty solid; I loved the button-bolt release and the price point was pretty good too. I do understand the frustration regarding the extension. I would have liked to see the gun be a little more tactical-capable like the versa max, but that's part of the way they got the price point down as far as they did. Everything's a trade off

Bes, I totally understand. I work in the manufacturing world, and understand the need for cost cutting where needed. I'm not frustrated at all, personally I think it's a lot of gun for the money.
