| Looking at a 870 Express Magnum in 20ga, the ejector groove/channel does not have an ejector spring like my 12ga version. Is this normal or some sort of mod? |

The current production (small frame) 20 ga 870 does not have an ejector spring.
The smaller dimensions of the receiver / bolt let the rim of the shell contact the ejector without needing the spring that the 12 ga (and older 20 ga guns built on the 12 ga frame) use. |
