| So I have a urge to get into 3 gun and have a older HK import S90 that was originally my wife's deer gun (she since dropped down to a 20GA) that has not seen much use since I got it 10 years ago. I need to get a new barrel for it since it is currently outfitted with a smooth bore slug barrel and rifle sights so as I pulled it out of the safe today to look at it, I noticed something odd, the bolt was closed on an empty chamber and it slipped out of my hand and fell to the floor buttstock first. I noticed a noise and wondered what it was so I tried to replicate it with a soft stroke of the buttstock on the floor and watched the bolt move to the rear out of battery. Is this normal? Since I was at home I did not repeat the maneuver with a loaded chamber but this gives me pause. Should I be concerned? |
| I was a couple days late on a 21 inch with fiber front sight. I looked through the EE and saw a couple but they were camo if I remember correctly. My M1 is 18.5 now with 8 plus 1 from the factory. I'd be ok with the same provided that it had chokes. New M2 barrels are expensive and you have to get new hanguards too. |

Hadn't thought of that option. Any recommendations where to look? Steve Rose is good: http://www.roseactionsports.com/About_RAS.html He is a member here, but I can't remember his handle. |
