What is your preferred sidesaddle and why?
-Velcro: HSGI shotshell tray ESSTAC shotgun card Ares Gear shell panel 3 Gun Gear -Hard mounted: Mesa Tactical TacStar GG&G Vang-Comp Or others I have tried almost all of them and I'm currently using HSGI shotshell trays because they are solid and retain their shape, allowing fast and easy refilling. They also velcro to the receiver so that I can still disassemble the shotgun without tools. I am considering getting Ares Gear shell panels just to try out their elastic strength, to see if they hold rounds better. Thoughts? |

I've run several different brands. My favorites tend to be 3gungear and Vang Comp. I like the 3gungear because it's cheap, and it works great. Shell retention is awesome. I like the Vang Comp because it gives me the flexibility of a velcro system without having to stick adhesive to the receiver. WAY more expensive though.
For the money, it's really hard to beat the 3gungear setup though. |

I never liked how Tac Star and Mesa required removal for disassembly of the shotgun, and how they changed push pins into screws. That is why I am sticking with velcro attachment.
I just got some Ares gear elastic carriers in a deal in the EE, so we will see if I like them more than HSGI |
