I want to keep one for HD and sell the other.
Here's what I have: Benelli M1 Super 90 . I ordered this gun directly from H&K in 85 or 86 after seeing a factory demonstration of it at the Soldier Of Fortune Convention in Los Vegas . It's exactly as received from H&K with the 19 inch barrel and full length mag tube . I don't think I even have 50 rounds through it . A true safe queen . Scattergun Technologies 870 Border Patrol . Bought in the early 90's . They sold out to Wilson Combat who still build and sell these . Built on the 870 Police platform. Another safe queen with maybe 50 rounds through it at the very most . TIA, Nick |
| Keep the HK marked Benelli M1.You can ALWAYS find an 870P to build into the Scattergun Tech spec. However, HK-marked Benellis are becoming rare on the open market. If you really want to sell the Benelli, scope out the EE at HKPro. The HK fan boys will pay around $1100 (maybe more, maybe less) for an HK Benelli with box and paperwork. |

I have both a M1S90 with 18" ghost rings and factory mag extension and a HD 870. After owning and shooting both, the M1S90 would be the first one i grab. Honestly if i needed one for HD the semi auto is easier to use. It has a few little things to learn about the controls and loading. But once you get used to it it is a great platform. In normal use it is super simple. Rack the bolt one time and pull the trigger. it is so much faster and easier than a pump. Unless you spend a lot of time training with a pump,I think the semi is a better defensive gun. I will probably get flaimed for saying a semi is better than a pump, but that is my opinion.
A Marlin 30-30 would work well for HD. But wouldn't you rather have a semi auto like a AR? |

I think it all depends on what you are trying to do here.
If you are trying to raise money, then the Benelli will sell faster and for more a lot more money than the 870. The 870 is just not a hot or rare item, unfortunately, and unless you undercut the market substantially, then it'll likely sit for awhile. If you are just trying to get rid of an unwanted gun, then definitely sell the 870. |

Keep the M1. Sell the 870. You will never be able to replace the memories in that M1. I've BTDT and regret it. And I just realized it is marked Heckler & Koch on the receiver . |
