I'm fairly new to shotguns and am changing the stock and forend . I can't figure out how to get the old forend off of the slide bars . Any help is appreciated greatly , I just hope this thing will go back together correctly . maxx

You have to unscrew the nut on the slide tube/forearm:
If I recall, I had to use a lot of force to remove mine(Not the nut, but the Handguard itself) It was on there really tight. Think I used a rubber mallet.
