If I wanted a light weight 12ga that would cycle a very light load (3/4oz, 1200fps), would I do alright to get an M2 21" or 24" and replace the recoil spring with a reduced power spring? We've tried pumps with 1oz loads and concluded that was too much recoil. 28ga O/U was great, but...I'd rather not buy yet another caliber. I'd much rather load up real light 12ga loads.
Any thoughts from experienced shotgun types would be appreciated. |

I would try that before going down to a 3/4 ounce load, simply for more reliable fumctioning. |
