I saw the Mesa Tactical full rail system with 6 round side saddle.
Just want to get some feedback on them, good or bad, and to know if there are more of them out there. |
| They definitely look cool. But as stated they are heavy. In my opinion that many rails on a shotgun (or any other rifle) are typically overkill. Not sure the benefits outweigh the downsides, but if you can't live without it knock yourself out. Your rifle, your choice...so rock on. |

What would you mount on it? "AR" sights, side saddle, maybe an optic. I have a Sig Sauer Stoplite that I will use as a tac-light/laser. Are you going to use a Mesa high tube adapter with an AR stock (or the CAV equivalent)? If so, then go ahead with the full length rail and AR sights. To me it is the only configuration where a full length rail and AR sights on a shotgun makes sense. If not, I suggest selling your existing barrel and getting a rifle sight version instead of the rail system and AR sights. If you want an optic, get the Mesa side saddle with the stradle mount rail. |
