So I recently purchased and am the VERY proud owner of a shotgun. I went basic and got the Remington 870 Express, 18" barrel, with the extended 7+1 mag tube. I have a mess of questions for everybody.
1. I bought a bunch of A-Zoom Snap Caps so I can dry fire the shit out of this thing as I sit on my couch with a beer without the fear of shooting a hole in the wall. I have noticed the snap caps are getting chewed to shit. Should I be concerned? Normal? 2. I use a TufCloth to wipe down the finishes on my AR and pistols. I'm assuming its okay to wipe down the receiver of the 870? Should I stay away from the barrel? 3. What are some cheap beginner modifications I can do to this firearm? Handgaurd? Thanks for your patience, I know I have a lot of questions, feel free to answer any that you feel like. |

My opinions are just that. My first mods would be: Side saddle Flashlight sling plate w/ good sling That would satisfy me. Good choice of Shotgun. It should give you a life time of enjoyment and might save your life someday. What is a good load for home defense? |

I agree first mods would be side saddle, a flashlight, or surefire fore end if you have extra cash for one. Then a decent sling. |

Somebody want to give me a quick run-down on the shot size for buck shot loads? Sounds like 00 is most common. |
