Went out to test my new rem +3 on my 1187 this has a 21" deer barrel with a IC choke . This is very accurate with slugs. My go to ammo is Rem 3" mag #4 buck but I screwed up grabbed the wrong ammo pouch full of cheap 2 3/4 #4 buck. This stuff seemed to hit quite a bit lower than slugs at 30 yards. Anyone else had this trouble between slugs and buckshot?
Im going to retest with the 3" mag ammo then maybe with a full choke. I have a turkey full in my 870 with a 20" barrel and it shoots buckshot like a dream problem is what looks best for slugs isn't going to be good for the buckshot.
any choke would be fine for in the house but when the distance gets longer an IC to me doesn't look like a good option with the buck
