Does anyone have any experience with these mag extensions?  I will in all likelihood get a Sure Cycle...but the Tacstat is $35.00 less expensive, so I thought I'd ask if they are quality products or junk.  Thanks.

I had one where the tube seperated from the collar while I was shooting a full mag of buck shot. I would avoid it.

That's what I needed to know.  Surecycle products are right up there with G-Shocks, Tacomas, and...well...Benelli shotguns, but I thought I'd check in the off chance Tacstar made something of equal quality for a little less money.  Thanks.

Look at Nordic Components as well. I have used WIlson, Tacstar, Surecycle, and Nordic on various Remingtons and Benellis. The Tacstar is still in use on a Rem 870, but it does't get out very often. Everything else I use now is Nordic or Surecycle.

As long as the solder doen't come apart on you, tacstar's work.  Granted, tehy're also steel and heavy compared to the AL versions out there.  All depoends on your conisderations.

A quite acceptable extension is the Choate.
It's been made almost as long as the original Remington factory model and is excellent quality with a very good reputation.

The Choate comes in lengths from +2 to +6, and in satin blued or parkerized.
They come as a complete kit with the extension, spring, heavy-duty magazine follower, and barrel clamp and sling swivels.

I had a few problems with Tac-Star extension quality, but very little with Choate.
