Just picked up a nice 9 shot special purpose M590A1, where is the best place for accessories?

What do you think you need other than ammo and practice?  Gadgets do not make a shooter.

Most likely true, however the key words I saw were "just got" "need" and "can I shoot slugs".  All indicators that the OP is not up to speed with the base weapon yet and is ready to trick out the Civic into a BMW.  A sling is not needed for a shotgun in a closet.

A sling is a must for any long gun that is to be used for home defense.....if you need to use both hands for the manipulation of anything....you should sling your weapon....rather than setting it down...if you need to move fast....you don't want to leave the weapon laying there and un able to retrive.....that would be bad.....don't you think?

I like single point slings

Can't say your wrong, but "I" am not feeling it right now.  Sell me more on the sling for the inside weapon.

My shotgun will fit this recreation:  Gun in closet till needed, pistol in nightstand for real "o shit time".  If time allows I grab the shotgun as I rather have a long arm than a pistol when it comes time for shots to be fired.  911 is called.  All entry points to the house are then covered by the shotgun with me and the family inside till cops arrive....or shit bag is shot on the way in (legal in NC) and I wait for cops. While waiting I do not need to fiddle dick with anything but cover.  Cops arrive and I can go cold.

In my HD practice scenes I do not exit and do not go on the offensive so a strap might not be a item I need.

Now if going on guardmount or taking the offensive I can use one for the reasons you give.  I see your point but back to square 1 with this guy.....know your weapon and practice.  Find out what works for your needs and use only the least amount of gear to lessen the chances of murphy finding you.  Say he puts a super nice sling on and adds a Tritium front sight blade and a side saddle.............but in the dark he fingerfucks the load and can not get it into action because he cant remember or has not reflex actions to draw off of............what is the advantage then?

Just saying

How are you sure this will be the scenario when something happens?

What I like:
Shotgun shell saddle
Sling (I like 2 point)
Speedfeed stock (a number of stocks actually)
Ghost Ring sights if you don't already have em
A mounted flash light
Maybe even a rail and red dot if you really wanted to

Midway
Brownells
Mesa Tactical
are all good places to look for shotgun accessories

OP, after you shoot it awhile, you may want to try out the shortened(12" LOP) hogue stocks.  I bought mine from Brownells.  With me not being a huge guy, it really helps me control the gun.

Not sure what else you mean by accessories, but it depends on what you need it for.  I have an old M-16 sling on mine, just so I can toss it on my back while checking targets/whatever.

I do know how to operate the basic functions of a 'PUMP' shotgun. As for accessories I wanted some  websites for future purchases of side saddle, sling and flash light mount. But overall the M590a1 seems like a bad ass weapon !

Here's a good one that will show you a little of everything.  Cut and paste since I am still an idiot and can't hot link yet.
