| I have a Mitchell Sabre (got it as a present) that I use for skeet and goose hunting at my folk's farm. As far as I can tell, this is a Turkish copy of a Remmy 1100. It shoots plenty accurate and is reliable with hunting ammo (with the o-ring out). The problem is that with skeet loads I get a lot of light strikes (about 1/5 the time). I've been using the Walmart Remington and Winchester bulk 100 round packs. Is there a chance this is the ammo and not the gun? If it is the gun, is there something I can do to fix it? |

Many of the guys with whom I shoot 3-gun (myself included) use the Federal promo loads from Wal-mart. I've never seen them have light-strike issues.
You might have a weak hammer spring. I'd also make sure the bolt and firing pin channel are clean. If possible, soak the bolt in solvent. |
