[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tube Extension?

Will putting a tube extension that goes out past the muzzle on a shotgun cause any problems? Right now I've got rem 1100 Tact 2, which only holds 6 shells. I need it to hold at least 8, so that would push the tube a little bit out in front of barrel.

Won't hurt anything, other than possibly dirtying up the finish or eroding it off a little were the muzzle blast hits it.

In this case, you'd really need a good barrel clamp to support the extension and prevent knocking it off the gun.
