I guess I'm just an idiot but, I can't for the life of me figure out how to install the Scattergun Tech 2 shot extension with the side sling attachment.  All anything I've found says just to screw it on but you can't screw it on with the freakin barrel on there.  Help please!

FYI:  I also had to Dremel the forearm of the Blackhawk! stock set and the butt-stock screw either cross threaded or is not the same size as the original.  So now I have to find another screw and hope that i didn't Dremel too much off of the forearm.

The side sling attachment has a curved notch that matches up with the barrel and should be free to rotate as the extension is screwed on.  Line up the notch on the barrel and seat the threads, then start twisting.  Shouldn't be that much to it.

I have read that sometimes the sling attachment is stuck in place. The best cure from what I've read is breakfree CLP or kroil and let it soak. If it doesn't move after that, give it a few thumps with a wood handle.

Mine did this. I used clp and turned the sing mount until it rotated smoothly.

As Hendricks said the new ones are just a little stuck.  I spray some oil in the grove it rotates in and turn it with my hand till it frees up, it with then install correctly.

I just read the rest of your post.   Are you saying that you were trying to install a SepcOps and the stock bolt cross threaded.  I am assuming this as that funky Black Hawk forend comes with the SpecOps stock.   If this is the case it is FUBAR as the bolt can not be removed from the stock and it will have to go back to the factory.   Black Hawk is not very good about customer service so it may be a issue they will not cover.   Also, before you try to put the new one on, you need to check the receiver stud because if it is stripped the stock will not install.   Take your old stock bolt and screw it into the receiver stud and if it goes in OK then you are fine.  If not then you need a new receiver stud before you try and install any stock.   It is part number F18551 on the Remington parts list and yes I know you are putting these items on a Remington because you are using the Wilson/Scattergun Extension.

Thanks for all the replies.  Yeah I guess the sling mount is just stuck.  I kinda figured that but I tried and tried to twist it and it wouldn't move at all.  So now I'll try to get some CLP on it and see if that helps.  I knew I couldn't be THAT incompetent.

As far as the Blackhawk! stock goes, the bolt got screwed up some how.  It looks like the threads were different or something but I ran it through a die set today to clean the threads up and I'll see what happens.  And yes it does have that goofy looking front forearm...until I can find one that looks better and where I can mount a side saddle.

Thanks again!
