My cheek weld on a new synthetic stocked 870 forces my cheek bone over the stock. This creates a bad stock bite.
There is a small riser under the bead. I do not think a vent ribed barrel will offer anything here
Its a 18" gun.

Can drop be adjusted and will this help?

Try to raise the weapon up higher in your shoulder.  By bringing the weapon up to your line of sight and not your line of sight down to the weapon this may help.

Shoot it more, you will get used to it................

Lots of guys change to Speedfeed stocks.  Maybe this is why?

My bet is the stock is too short and you aren't getting it into your shoulder sufficiently.

Of course the stock can be adjusted.  Lots of stocks on the market for the 870.......
