I recently added a mag extension on my 870 and was wondering what options are available and where I can find them for attatching a sling as I now don't have the factory cap that had a sling swivel. I want a 2 pt sling and not single.

I use this and a QD swivel stud mounted on the bottom of the PG of a standard stock to mount a very simple adjustable leather strap. I use the Rhodesian carry on all my guns except my ARs. Wilson Combat you can get stuff directly from their site as well as GG&G. |

With that set up i found the shotgun doesnt hang very well. Its my preferred set up for a carbine, but didnt work well with an 870. The rear attachment point needs to be more to towards the end of the stock and above the half way point IME. As to the original question. Sell the remington extension on the EE and buy a wilson combat extension with the sling attachment point you want. Pocket the difference. |
