Here is the deal.
I stopped by a bud's house today to shoot the bull. He brings out his new Benelli to show me and
starts to assemble it (it comes in a two piece case) and can't get the barrel on.
It goes almost all the way down except the last 1/8 inch or so. He is ramming and jabbing to no avail.

So we take the barrel back off and notice the bolt/carrier is froze up and the groove that the barrel
tab is supposed to slide into is blocked by the rotating bolt(I guess).

I am thinking that when he was doing all this ramming with the barrel, that it forced the bolt/carrier
back on the rail and froze it up tight.

Anybody ever run into this problem...HELP.

Edit to add: We pulled the trigger assbly. and it did no good at all..bolt still froze.

You definitely want to insert the barrel into the receiver with the bolt locked back to the rear, but it might be too late for that now....

Well, the bolt is back but the bolt face is rotated in front of the slot.

I guess he should take it back to where he bought it.
