What's the going price on these?  I know Dick's had them on sale a week or two ago for $199.  My local FFL said he can get me one for $197.

Sounds like a deal, or at least an average price?

If he's running neck and neck with Dick's, I'd keep the business local.  Sounds about right to me; have you priced them on the "digital-era prices canary" (GunBroker)?

ETA: Looks to be a good price.  You won't get hurt snagging it at that price.

That's what I was thinking too.

Thanks for doing the legwork.  I didn't even think to check GunBroker and the like.  Even if I were to buy online, the shipping and transfer fee would put me over $197, from most of the prices I saw when I just looked.

Looks like I'll be picking this up soon.

Thanks for the help.

My dealer gave me a price of $168.00 + Tax yesterday and they are in stock at the distributor.

Anyone have info on these guns. I have heard they have a 99% parts compatability with the Remington 870. Is this true? I am looking at using one to build a breacher for work. There was a thread on hear about the compatability but now I cant find it.

Google "Pardner Protector", you'll find many threads from many different forums........all giving it high praises.  I finally got mine about a week ago, and it's solid as a rock.  Steel receiver.

Everything for 870's will fit the Pardner, except barrels.  I got some Hogue furniture, made for the 870, and it installed on my Pardner with ease.

870 mag tube extensions will work on the Pardner, but will be a tad long, and extend past the muzzle (I was told a +2 extension for an 870, will give you a +3 on a Pardner).  If you can deal with that, pick up an 870 extension.  If you can't, there's a guy who's on a bunch of forums, who makes custom +2 extensions, specifically for Pardners, that fit flush with the muzzle.
