I have the FAB Defense  forend, and have no complaints.  I think it will come down to a style issue.  The FAB has a lateral lines similar to the 870 tactical forend, the CAA looks much more... slanted.  Here is mine, with a TLR-1 and ladder rails added in:

Thanks for the pic. I was kind of leaning towards that one just because I think the other one looked a little to  "Tacticool", if ya know what I mean! does it have any more or less play in it?

Not really.  It IS a bit larger around than a Remington forend, but I like that.  The additional weight becomes a small issue if you rest your shotgun muzzle up with the hammer down, as the heavier forend (oh, and my TLR-1) wiegh enough to pull the slide about 1/4" back.  If you leave your SG charged it would not be an issue.  I like it- don't plan on switching out anytime soon.

Are you wanting to put a vertical forward grip on it? If not, it's kinda pointless unless you absolutely love having the light right on the grip.

It looks like it would bust some knuckles/fingers depending on where the light is.

If it suits your needs then go for it

I don't plan on a VFG, but I do plan on putting my TLR on it or maybe my surefire on the side of it. I don't plan on using the botton rail and I would put ladder rails on it, but I like the idea of having  it there if I ever want to use it for something!
