Hey all,

I'm looking for a good HD choke (improved Cyl??) that pokes out through the muzzle like some turkey chokes so I don't need to carry a choke wrench in my LBV

Thanks and happy shooting!!

I dont really want to pay 50 bucks for a choke and dont need the breaching capabilities that this choke offers...

I was looking for something more like these...

The improved cyl is like the one I have in my Rem right now. Would the modified be any better than the improved? I know that the Improved Cyl is a slightly more open choke than the Mod.

It really depends on how tight you want your pattern.

I personally prefer Modified as I don't always have Federal Tactical on hand, and I can usually still get good patterns with normal 00 buckshot. I actually have a I/C tube in my HD 870, but its only because I haven't had time to pattern my Modified choke tube yet.

As far as brands I like Carlson's choke tubes for decent prices, fast shipping, and free accessories: Carlson's Choke Tubes They also make extended choke tubes as you were looking for.

The Carlson Sporting Clays tube in I/C (or maybe Modified) is a good quality extended, knurled tube

So what would be the best choke? I mean patterning not brand (improved cyl, mod, skeet, full, etc)
