Yea, it'll make you cuss.  Clean everything with CLP and 4 ought steel wool.  Degrease, then  keep a light coat of CLP on the whole gun.  That should stop the red.  Try to figure out what's causing the problem.  Good luck.

How are you storing it? Never leave it in a hardcase since it traps the moisture. Think about leaving some silica gel packs. If your natural climate is just humid, get used to the fact that you'll need to frequently check up on it and apply some oil. If you're not cleaning, consider LP (instead of CLP) because it's thicker and stays on longer.

You might want to try painting it with some Brownell's Aluma-Hyde or similar gun-oriented paint.  That will prevent rust wherever it's painted but you'll still have to take care so it doesn't rust internally where it's unpainted.

CLP and fine steel wool to remove the rust.

Wipe it down with a Sentry Solutions Tuf-Cloth ($11 or so from Brownells). If you keep the cloth sealed in the bag, good for dozens of uses (and it can be recharged). Strip down the gun and wipe down EVERYTHING (it won't harm plastic) you can reach.

It's worked for me in humid and/or rainy European weather, humid middle eastern weather and also in various rust-prone spots in the US.
