I went shooting sporting clays today with some friends. Both had 500's, one a 20 ga. and one 12. Every once in a while, when they would pump for the second shot, the live round from the tube would fall out. It looked to me like it was flying out the ejection port, right behind the empty hull.
Have any of you seen this happen? Is there a fix. It happened to each of them about 10- 15 times on a 125 round course. One guy started loading extra rounds in the tube and it stopped doing it. He just took it apart and cleaned it for the first time in about 5 years, so maybe he reassembled it wrong. The other guy I don't really know, so I have no info on his gun. It's just weird they both were doing the same thing. |
| I've read a few cases where the interrupter was causing shells to drop out the bottom or extra shells trying to load and I want to say it was with older models. The only quirk I've had with my 500 is sometimes it does not want to cycle the bolt back. I'm not sure, however, if its the bolt that's catching or if its the slide. |
