Well, I just got my Remington 1100 G3. I went dove hunting in Dilley Texas with it this weekend and after putting about 65 rounds through the gun the choke tube and the end of the barrel were blown off of the gun. I made sure the choke tube was good and tight before I started shooting for the day. Not sure what caused this. I think I'm going to call Remington to see if they will send me a new barrel and choke tube free of charge. Anyone else ever see this type of failure? Know what causes it?      |

Just because the tube was tight when you started the day doesn't mean it stayed tight. I take a tube wrench with me any time I carry a gun with tubes---and check the tube often. I've had them back out on me. That said, it looks more like a bore obstruction caused that. |
Everything sounded normal to me. I didn't even notice this had happened until I pulled the gun back up to shoot at the next bird that flew by. |
