| I am trying to find a magazine extender for a FN Police Pump 5+1 12 guage. I am not having much luck. Do i just go with a Winchester 1300 extender since they were sold to FN at one time? Any reccomendations of products? |

Yes, the Win 1300 extender works 100%. I have one on my FN Police. On a semi-related note, have you fired 3" mag loads (buck and slugs) from your FN? I'm curious, because I have sent my shotgun back to FN twice now. When I shoot 3" buckshot or slugs, the slide is violently forced backwards. In the case of the 3" slugs, it is hard enough to eject the spent round. The shotgun ends up pointing at least 45° in the air, because there is nothing to stabilize the weapon with. Obviously, follow up shots are slow. According to FN, this is normal, as the slide unlocks when fired. The inertia from the fired round starts the slide backwards. Using 2 3/4" low recoil shells, it works great. I can rip off all seven rounds (fairly accurately) in about five seconds. |

I am picking up the shotgun on thursday so i have not shot it yet, but i will be at the range this weekend ansd let you know how i like it. Thanks for the response on the mag extender. Do you have any reccomendations on a brand to go with? |

Thanks for the reply Jimmy. I have stuck with the 2 3/4" loads. I find it sad, since I have a Knoxx Specops stock on it...recoil is very light with any load. With the 18" barrel, it's accurate with slugs out to 100 yards. I ended up putting a rail and Aimpoint clone on it, which helps. The standard sights are terrible. As far as which extention, Choate makes a nice one. www.choatestocks.com/MagXt.html I have an ATI, and it functions fine. While I haven't had any problems with it, the Choate is constructed a lot better. If I had it to do again, I'd go with the Choate. |
