I am not very familiar with the Franchi so I will comment on the Remington.

I have several 1100's that have been nothing but  reliable with hundreds if not thousands of rounds through them.

They are very soft recoiling compared to benelli or Winchester.

If you ever have a problem Remington will take care of you and they will be around for a while.

Aftermarket for the Remington is huge. Everything from stocks to internal mods are available. There are also quite a few gunsmiths that are very good with the platform.

Do they still make the Law 12? I know the Franchi guns are nice but if it is not currently being made that might be worth considering.

I think it is a better choice. I have the 1100 competition master. It didnt sell well so they made it green then black and call it the tac-4. Same gun but now it is tactical.
