I shot skeet with a 20 gauge semiauto shotgun for the first time today and I want one.
The one I used was my father in laws Remington and after I got home I checked on prices and they are high. What other semiauto shotguns that are cheaper would be good  for skeet shooting?

What is your price range?

Around 400$ or so.I looked at a Remington 1100 youth model at  Gander Mountain for 400$.I couldn't tell what made it a youth model but that is the price range I would like to stay in.I have no interest in hunting I just want to shoot skeet with it.

The youth has a shorter barrel and stock. They also make a full size 11-87 Sportsmans for the same price. MIKE.

humm theres a few used 1100's in 12 gauge our here in WA for $295 at my local gun shop. I'd look for a nice condition used one in 20 gauge, that seems like the most affordable way of doing it.

Before you buy used make sure it has screw in chokes or is choked skeet or improved cylinder. MIKE.
